The Anaba Lodge
Personally operated by Japan Ski Tours
Located at the base of Ani Ski Resort, offering backcountry guiding services and rental skis/splits
|
Offering guiding and stay packages built specifically with our guests in mind, the Anaba Lodge is the culmination of what we have learned about what makes the perfect ski holiday. Simple and earthy with delicious food, a down to earth bar with a sauna and snow plunge, and located in a region ideal for powder hounds willing to put in some effort, we're stoked to be able offer this unique stay experience to our guests.
Heated by a handmade masonry wood stove, decked out with locally sourced cedar and finished with organic plaster so natural you could eat it, Anaba Lodge feels close to the earth and is the perfect compliment to your time spent riding at Mt. Moriyoshi, located just up the road. The word "Anaba" in Japanese means "hidden gem" or "secret spot" and that's exactly what you'll discover during your stay with us at the Anaba Lodge. Far away from the mainstream hustle and bustle of the Japow-universe, you'll find us tucked away in a remote corner of the Tohoku powder region, skiing perfectly spaced trees at our almost-private ski hill, located just 2 minutes from the Lodge. |
" The sort of people that the lodge attracts are there to ride the backcountry
and chase powder, so we met some lovely kindred spirits with a passion for
the mountains " - Review by Powderhounds.com
