10-day Hokkaido Indy Trip Lodging
All of the hotels we experience on this trip are Western style with a Japanese flair of varying degrees. All of our hotels include free access to Onsen (hot springs) which are a must in recovering from all that powder-slaying! Two of our hotels are 4-star, while one is solidly in the 3-star+ range and are very comfortable, clean and cater to skiers very well.

Nights 1-3: OMO7 Hotel by Hoshino | 3+ Star
OMO7 by Hoshino Resorts is recently renovated and very unique. Centrally located to all that the small city of Asahikawa has to offer, this is a great base not only for skiing, but also for non-ski attractions like a sake brewery, a famous zoo and more downtown eateries and karaoke joints than you can count!
All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms and showers as well as having a public spa-style hot springs. |

Nights 4-6: Tomamu Resort Tower (Ski in/Ski out) | 4-Star
Tomamu Ski Resort, in Hokkaido, Japan, is widely known for its family-friendly vibe, complete with impressive amenities. Although it boasts an upscale atmosphere, featuring an expansive 80 by 30-meter wave pool, trendy dining options, and unique hotel towers, some might mistakenly assume its glamorous appeal doesn't suit powder enthusiasts. Think again! Hoshino Resort Tomamu is a hidden treasure for powder lovers, offering vast, unshared sidecountry and backcountry terrain to enjoy.
Hoshino Resort Tomamu offers a mix of terrain, with excellent beginner zones, several groomed runs for intermediate skiers, and a few challenging mogul courses for advanced riders. Off-piste skiing is a significant draw for skilled skiers and snowboarders, while the surrounding sidecountry and backcountry areas provide an extra bonus—especially for skiers, who can more easily manage the traversing involved. Though the pitches aren’t extremely steep, as is typical in Japan, the outstanding powder and superb tree skiing more than make up for it. |

Nights 7-9: Hotel Sonia | 4-Star
Centrally located in the quaint seaside town of Otaru, Hotel Sonia is a great base to explore everything this cool city has to offer.
Just across the road from the old canal and right in the middle of the sushi-restaurant district, there's no end to Japanese style après ski options here! From Sonia, we drive 45 minutes to ski at the Indy Pass member Kiroro Resort. By this point in the trip you'll probably be hooked on the post ski onsen routine and your sore muscles won't know what to do without an Onsen. No problemo, our last three nights at Hotel Sonia include an in-hotel Hot Springs for you to enjoy one final dip. |
