JST has exclusive access to the off-piste terrain accessible from the summit of this snow cat operation. Offering the most vertical of any snow cat operation in Japan, the best runs at Shizukuishi require a bit of work to get in and out of and are exclusively for Advanced+ riders, touring gear is required.
For those willing to put in a bit of work, the payoff is excellent. With a north east pocket and perfectly spaced trees, this cat run won't be one you soon forget! We usually do two big runs in a day which takes us until noon. For the afternoon we usually ride off-piste from the resort area. For the 2025 season, Shizukuishi Cat skiing is an optional upgrade to our 3, 4, and 5 -day private Tohoku guiding packages. The Tohoku guiding package is an inclusive private guiding package that makes your trip to the Tohoku region smooth and easy. The trip includes pickup by private transfer, high-end accommodation with onsen hot springs, any lift tickets, daily dinner and breakfast, and guiding by a qualified English speaking guide. We offer rental skis, splitboards and avalanche safety sets. |
