All 3-star lodging. Our hotels are based on shared twin rooms but we do have an upgrade option to a single room if available. You can select this option during check out.

Half day of Cat Skiing. Yes, fulfill your Cat fantasy as we hire out a Cat and ski down an abandoned ski hill (one of many in this region!). Cat skiing in Japan is different from North America--check out what to expect here.

Daily dinner reservations at restaurants that serve different types of Japanese cuisine (participation optional but highly recommended!). These restaurants have been personally selected for their authenticity and deliciousness and include cuisine such as Sushi, Yakiniku, Tonkatsu, etc. More on food here.

Find the best pow with guided off-piste skiing for advanced riders with avalanche safety gear. Guided resort orientation minimizes the learning curve and maximizes off-groomer pow time.

All transportation beginning at Morioka Station or HNA Airport and ending in Aomori City. You'll need to arrange your own transportation to HNA Airport or Morioka station, where you will be met by one of our guides. At the end of the trip you will need to arrange transportation from Shin-Aomori bullet train station to go on to your next destination. More information on this in our Logistics section.

Two days of guided tram-accessed backcountry at Hakkoda. Instead of the usual off-piste, we'll be getting a local Japanese guide to take us to some special spots in the backcountry.

While our accommodation in Morioka has a great Onsen (hot springs) facility on the roof top, we'll also go to a bonus-Onsen in the Morioka area and again in the Aomori area.

Touring gear is required for this trip! While easy-access powder is the priority, we might need to do a bit of work here and there to be the best freshies! As such, you'll need to have or rent touring gear which is either a Splitboard or an Alpine Touring (AT) rig with the bindings and skins which can be used to climb uphill. If you don't have your own touring set up, you can rent it from us during the checkout process.

Avalanche safety sets are required for any type of off piste guiding and are available to rent for an additional ¥15,000. Rental avalanche safety set includes backpack, beacon, shovel and probe.

Lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks are at your own discretion for this trip. How much should you plan on spending? See the chart on our Logistics page for an estimate.

Transportation to Morioka Station at the beginning of the trip and transportation from Shin-Aomori Station at the end. You'll need to arrange your own transportation to one of the meet up points described in the Logistics section.
