Hi all! Here is a quick graphic, but check back in 30-60 minutes for an in depth write up and the long range forecast. Hi guys I am working on putting together some graphics in chart format that will help you quickly disseminate forecasts for your region. I will also include a write up along with long range forecasts once or twice a week. Bear with me as I perfect my forecasts and work with the formatting of the chart graphics to make them more visually appealing this first week.Wow! I hope you all are getting up early to prepare for a long day skiing and snowboarding because it is perfect out there! There are clouds and some light snow showers coming onshore across west central Hokkaido, which have the potential to drop some snow, up to 20cm (8"), on the highest western slopes of Asahidake, but for the most part snowfall will be minimal today.
Quick Update: 10-20 cm (4-8") of new snow possible on parts of Mt Asahidake over the next 30hrs1/1/2017 Taking a look at the new products there doesn't appear to be much new snow falling across much of Hokkaido, but it looks that it is possibly that parts of Mt Asahidake might pick up a little new powder on monday and tuesday. It will mostly fall on the higher western facing slopes in the afternoon and evening. I will keep you all updated! I hope you are all enjoying your New Years.
It appears to be a nice day to hit the slopes across all of Hokkiado. I am currently working on a product that you will only see here at japanskitours.com. It is a high resolution forecast graphic that provides you with the ability to see expected snowfall, temperatures, and much more. This is a one of a kind product that I hope will give you the advantage of staying ahead of the storms and hitting the slopes where the best powder is falling. I have attached a few sample graphics for you to familiarize yourself with. Tomorrow I will have a nice array of products for localized regions to give you the best forecasts possible. As it looks to be such a nice day I am going to keep the forecast simple.
